Copy, Quick Find and Quick Replace not always available in SQL pane

Why is it that the copy, quick find and quick replace commands are available at some times and not others. This is something I have experienced while working in the SQL pane of a rather long union query contained in a View. The availability of these commands seems to come and go, so I would like to know what conditions are causing this so that I can make better use of these necessary editing tools.

This is a bit frustrating to say the least!

TIA,

Steve

Can you explain on what time and when it is behaving like that, I guess it could be during any process generation.|||I'm having the same problem. Seems that with the 5/22/07 Windows update, I'v completely lost access to Quick Find and Quick Replace.|||

What is the service pack level on the SQL SErver & client tools?

Check what updates were involved in that WSUS check.

When is it not available - what steps are you using? What happens if you use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F or Ctrl+H - does the find and replace window display?
